With The Market Research Event right around the corner, we sat down with a few Burkies to hear their thoughts on what they are most excited to see and hear at the conference.
WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST AT THE MARKET RESEARCH EVENT?
Xavier Quenaudon: I’m thrilled that there is a CX/UX track this year! The line-up is the best I’ve seen in several years, with tons of interesting presenters from a variety of industries and functions.
Andrew Bernard: Outside of catching up with industry friends, I’m looking forward to the Data Science, Analytics, and Insights track! AI and machine learning is a buzzy topic – I’m curious to get a sense for the reality versus the hype.
Sandip Narang: One of the things I love about TMRE is that there is something from everyone – all of the topics within research are covered and well-represented. The Data Science, Analytics, and Insights track has peaked my interest the most due to the number of presentations that include AI and machine learning (also, I’m excited to see Joelle host this track over the three days of the conference)!
WHICH TOPICS OR TRENDS WILL GET MOST OF YOUR TIME AND ATTENTION?
XQ: The CX world is moving ever so quickly with advances in technology and it is sometimes hard to keep track – so being able to listen and learn about new CX and UX tools, applications and trends from such a wide variety of speakers will be well worth the time.
SN: Topics in the CX and UX tracks as well as those related to Brand Insights are interesting to me. I am hoping to spend time listening to sessions related to these topics. The keynotes look fantastic – it’s a good mix of authors, Hollywood producers, economists, and Fortune 100 C-suite folks.
WHAT ELSE ARE YOU EXCITED FOR AT TMRE THIS YEAR?
XQ: The Data Science, Analytics and Insights track looks very promising as well – a lot of that applies to CX too! Overall, I’m looking forward to hearing how others deal with the abundance of not just data but also analytical tools – and manage to sort out which ones are truly relevant to solve their business issues without getting lost in the noise!
AB: Well, it’s not specific to TMRE, but I have never been to Nevada (can you believe it??). Once I pick up Nevada, I will have been in 46 states ?.
SN: Let us not forget to have a good time at the conference! TMRE always provides a great opportunity to reconnect with old colleagues and friends, and meet new friends in the industry. To me, play is as important as work.
