Coaching Intrapreneurs to Turn Ideas into Fundable Business Cases
The CHALLENGE
A Fortune 500, global food and beverage client was interested in developing innovative products that fit the latest trends and meet consumers’ needs in fresh and exciting ways.
The team wanted to harness the collective intelligence and creative spirit of its employees to better identify and develop new innovations that solved current business problems, seeking to capitalize on future opportunities and unlock profitable growth—all in a compressed 7-week timeline.
The APPROACH
Burke and Seed Strategy partnered with our client to guide internal “intrapreneurs” through a high-stakes journey: crafting and delivering strategic pitches designed to win executive approval.
Through one-on-one coaching and collaborative working sessions, the teams refined early-stage ideas—sharpening brand fit, identifying optimal channels and formats, and uncovering ways to amplify impact. Additionally, strategic storytelling played a central role in coaching the intrapreneurs. Each built a compelling narrative rooted in proof points and organizational value—delivered with clarity, empathy, and confidence.
To bring their ideas to life, Seed’s creative team co-developed AI-generated, photorealistic visuals, transforming concepts into tangible, pitch-ready assets. The result: a suite of polished, persuasive 8–10 slide decks tailored to resonate with senior leaders. Most importantly, a cohort of confident innovators were ready to drive the future forward.
The OUTCOME
By teaming up with our strategists and creatives, the intrapreneurs delivered six impactful pitch decks. The innovative concepts received applause from the client Executive Leadership Team:
- 3 innovations fully greenlit, receiving executive backing and funding
- 2 innovations integrated into broader innovation pipelines
- 1 intrapreneur, a recent grad and the sole external submitter, didn’t advance—but impressed the CEO enough to be offered a job on the spot
Ultimately, the three fully greenlit ideas are projected to deliver more than $100MM in incremental sales across multiple channels for the parent company.
