Burke, Inc. is thrilled to announce that our company has won the award for the Marketing Research Education Foundation’s (MREF) Philanthropic Company of the Year.
As part of the Marketing Research and Insights Excellence Awards powered by Quirk’s, the award recognizes marketing research companies that lead by example in providing support to their respective communities with donations of time and financial resources.
The importance of making a difference and investing in the greater good has always been integral to Burke’s culture. Over the years, Burke has sought to support local organizations and lead initiatives that align with the company’s core values of education, wellness, inclusion/diversity, and community, while also supporting employees in their efforts to give back.
“We see ourselves as a part of something greater and we feel a sense of responsibility to support the communities in which we live and work,” said Burke’s CEO, Diane Surette. “We know how important it is for our employees to play a meaningful role in our community and in our industry, and I’m pleased that Burke can help provide opportunities for employees to get involved, give back, and make change. Burke has partnered with, and donated to, a variety of local organizations that provide support across areas of need within our community, including mental health, pediatric cancer, career and professional development for women, homelessness, and more. Burke’s longtime partners within the community, include Rees E. Price Academy (since 1985), and Pig Works/Cincinnati Flying Pig marathon (since 1999). In addition, Burke has established many programs designed to expand and elevate educational and career opportunities for diverse talent, including the Alberta Burke Academy, Minority Access Partnership program, and the IDEAtor Fellowship Program.
